Why do we live in a world where people stereo-type or label each other?



...Because they have nothing better to do. Apparently it is much easier to label someone then to actually go through the effort of finding out what kind of human being the person is.

It is the conceptual mind that makes sense out of the world, it seeks to override the true and emotional minds and it discerns objects/people too much, defining them instead of just accepting them.

I myself would rather listen to a range of music that appeals to me, dress in what appeals to me and do what appeals to me.

Do we put each other down just to build ourselves up?

I think that if you are aware you are doing it, you should try to stop. Nobody likes being put in a category.

and if they don't shut up...I'll punch 'em in the face!
